Shower Plaster System Elements

  • A small, unfinished room under construction with cement walls, a small rectangular window, and exposed wiring. The ceiling has a fluorescent light fixture, and the floor has construction debris.

    Cement Mortar Base

    What’s in it? 4 layers. Waterproof builders paper or roofing paper, Galvanized metal lathe, mortar scratch coat, level “float” coat. We utilized fiber reinforced masonry mortar for extra crack resistance.

  • Plaster Shower Prep

    Drip Edge & Prep

    Utilizing our exclusive drip edge for ultra thin plaster applications, separation from adjoining surfaces prevents wicking and other messy joint problems. Additionally we “lock-in” our cement mortar base with the strongest thin-set available providing additional strength and flexibility.

    Meat & Potatoes

    The backbone of our shower system, hand applied layer installation- Base coat, fiber mesh, base coat, waterproofing. Accomplishing moisture management and ghosting elimination in one process.

  • Tadelakt & Micro Cement Sealer

    Sealer

    Finishing touches with premium sealer. Multiple coats of premium penetrating sealer foloowed by 2 coats of premium wax sealer for the most elegant touch.
